The beauty of fatigue and the thrill of conquest
   Edition 2024

Simple. Precise. Dynamic. Three words that embody the essence of a game-chenger brand, that has revolutionized the cycling world and that over the years has contributed to shaping an entire industry,

staying true to the foundations of the brand philosophy – to Democratise Performance, with a direct relationship between manufacturer and customer. We are obviously talking about Canyon, a brand with a recent history but with firm roots, well founded into the culture of this sport.

In the mid-1980s, Roman Arnold, the founder, was still competing as a professional, backed by his father. But his entrepreneurial spirit slowly begins to glimpse a new opportunity: take advantage of the opportunity of competitions to sell directly to professionals and enthusiasts parts, clothing, and bikes selected and imported from Italy and transported around the world on a small blue trailer. That same trailer that today stands at the entrance of the Canyon Koblenz showroom.

An idea that in a few years turns into a winning business model, based on direct sales: only the producer, the customer and the great common passion for cycling. A daily commitment to constantly strive to develop award-winning bikes across every category - road, gravel, cycle tourism, triathlon, city bike, mountain bike, gravity bike - with the aim to help every cyclist find their dream bike.

Thus, from the small shop opened in 1984 with his father and brother in the family garage in Löf, in the Rhineland, Roman founded Radsport Arnold GmbH, starting in 1996 the production of his own Canyon brand bicycles and thus giving life to what today it is a reference player in the world of world cycling.

Many professional athletes have chosen Canyon and achieved great successes during the years. Some recent names include Mathieu van der Poel, Jan Frodeno, Emily Batty, Ceylin del Carmen-Alvarado and Jenny Tough in ultracycling races. The Canyon-sponsored pro teams have also collected many victories in the last 10 years - with the Movistar Team dominating the Giro d’Italia for two times with Nairo Quintana and Richard Carapaz, and the timeless Alejandro Valverde, second at the last edition of Strade Bianche. The CANYON//SRAM Racing team has years of experience in women’s cycling and support fresh athletes with the new Generation lineup. A new entry in the World Tour for the next season is the Italian cyclist, Soraya Paladin.

A design devoted to simplicity, because it is useless to complicate a functional object such as a bicycle. The maniacal precision that every cyclist requires from her vehicle, for maximum performance. And then the dynamism, the desire to continue to innovate, explore and reinvent itself every time. Values that Canyon shares with Nova Eroica and that have inspired a partnership in the name of adventure and excellence: the Prosecco hills and the Tuscan dirt roads are in fact the perfect setting to test the adventurous Grizl and the iconic Grail, but also the brand new Allroad configuration of the famous Endurace.
