La bellezza della fatica e il gusto dell'impresa

You may wonder why we have decided to move our Spanish home base to Haro, converting this city into your new cycling haven in La Rioja.

5 compelling reasons that guided us towards Haro and that hopefully will motivate you to test your ridding skills at the next edition of Eroica Hispania!

1. Lodging

Haro offers many fine and varied accommodations, from luxury hotels to charming apartments, rental homes, and bed-and-breakfasts, without forgetting its best-camping facilities. The complete scope of accommodations our Eroici deserves to delight their stay in La Rioja. Go to visit Haro Tourism website to book your stay. Nearly villages such as Santo Domingo de la Calzada (20 km from Haro) and San Vicente de la Sonsierra (11 Kms) complement the lodging offering of Haro to guarantee a very comfortable stay to all participants and friends.

2. Bars and restaurants

Not only previous editions participants asked for more and better on-site accommodations, but they also insisted on the furnish of a much larger offer of bars and restaurants. Haro will fulfill the expectations of the most exquisite gourmet. Starting with its many bars and restaurants terraces in the main place, no doubt that you will have many opportunities to cherish friendship around the nicest wines and most delicious La Rioja gastronomy.

3. Activities and services

Haro is not just the Capital of Rioja Wine, gathering some of the finest wineries of Spain in its dedicated district, it is also a town full of history, art, and traditions. Also known as The City of Palaces, Haro’s unique abundance and a mixture of culture, landscape, and fine food and wine will provide the perfect scenario of a great weekend of classic cycling and friendship celebration. Palaces, museums, churches, wineries, and medieval streets will surprise and charm you. For more information about activities in this area, visit Haro Tourism page.

4.  Santiago Ways

This new home base allows us to revisit the routes itineraries and increase the Way of Santiago sections, something of great value for all riders looking for tradition and legacy. The modifications in the Long, Medium, and Short routes will bring you closer to the pilgrims and make the ride even more meaningful. More information will follow later with the presentation of the new routes.

5. La Rioja

The relocation of our home base in Haro reaffirms our compromise with La Rioja, its villages, and its habitants. No other region in Spain would provide us and our Eroici with such a rich, varied and delightful scenario for our Spanish classic cycling event. La Rioja is our great and wonderful home and hopefully will remain for many more years.

Sign up for a great local event full of novelties and surprises. Bring your family and friends to Haro and become a new fan of the Capital of Rioja Wine.
