The beauty of fatigue and the thrill of conquest

Discover Terra Eroica in Montalcino: an endless journey through landscapes, traditions, and authentic cycling

The 9th edition of Eroica Montalcino, taking place from May 23 to 25, 2025, will be the perfect opportunity to dive into the spirit of heroic cycling… but also to look beyond the event, toward a project that allows you to experience the essence of Eroica every day of the year.

Terra Eroica is a vision that transforms the emotions of the race into a daily, timeless experience. From the vineyards of Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino, through the Crete Senesi and the Val d’Orcia, to the enchanting city of Siena: 290 kilometers of Permanent Routes, well-marked and carefully maintained, telling stories of effort, beauty, and rediscovery.

These routes are designed for all kinds of cyclists: from vintage bike enthusiasts in search of authenticity and heritage, to e-bike tourists who enjoy the journey at a gentler pace, to gravel riders eager to test themselves on varied and scenic trails. Around every bend, after every climb and descent through the captivating Tuscan hills, the warm hospitality of this land reveals itself—bike-friendly farmhouses, traditional trattorias, cozy family-run B&Bs, and charming hotels welcome those who choose to ride slowly and with curiosity.

During the 2025 edition of Eroica Montalcino, you can discover Terra Eroica up close by visiting the dedicated stand in the heart of the festival village, located at the Sant'Agostino Cultural Center and Historic Complex. It will be a space to gather information, plan your personal journey along the white roads, and be inspired by a Tuscany that continues to passionately tell the story of the bond between people, bicycles, and the land.
